- This standard specifies methods for measuring the ignition characteristics of pulverized coal using a specialized testing device, measuring the coal burnout characteristics using a thermal analyzer, and measuring the coal combustion rate coefficient using a tubular settling furnace. The coal combustion characteristics data measured in this standard are applicable to the design and operation of pulverized coal suspension combustion equipment, as well as the calculation of the combustion rate of pulverized coal carbon particles, the evaluation of coal combustion characteristics and the prediction of burnout rate of pulverized coal furnaces, etc.
