- This standard specifies the test procedures and test methods for the flow velocity, flow direction and hydrostatic pressure resistance of ocean current instruments. It also specifies the calculation and regulations of test devices, equipment, instruments and test results. This standard specifies two test methods: the current meter moves in still water or the current meter is fixed in moving water. This standard applies to rotor current meters and acoustic Doppler current meters.
