- This standard specifies a unified test method for performance evaluation of base instruments (field-installed process control instruments that integrate detection, adjustment, and indication). This standard applies to base-type instruments with output signals that comply with GB3369, GB3370 or GB777 for industrial process measurement and control systems. This standard does not include additional tests required for performance evaluation of instrument add-on devices. Some of the tests specified in this standard may not be applicable to certain types of instruments, and these instruments may require other additional tests. The applicable tests and supplementary required additional tests can be selected according to the type of instrument.
