Scope

This standard specifies the terminology, product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging and storage of ceiling-mounted air coolers for Freon refrigeration devices. This standard applies to separately supplied Freon direct evaporative ceiling air coolers for medium and small refrigerated warehouses using R12 (R134a), R22, and R502 as refrigerants.
