This standard specifies the design and installation specifications for refractory fiber furnace linings. This standard applies to electric heating furnaces and fuel furnaces whose lining hot surface insulation materials are entirely or partially made of refractory fibers. The operating temperature of the furnace is generally higher than or equal to 500°C, and is mainly used in clean environments that are not damaged by wear and slag corrosion.
