- This standard specifies the technical conditions for boiler soot blowers and temperature measuring probes. This standard applies to various types of sootblowers and their sootblowing piping systems and sootblowing control devices that use steam, air or water as the purging medium and injection as the purging method to remove boiler slagging and dust accumulation. This standard also applies to boiler temperature probes.
