- Scope
- This standard specifies the determination methods of ultimate shear stress test and triaxial shear stress test for the shear strength of granular materials. This standard is applicable to the determination of shear strength of bulk materials with a particle size of 0 to 15 mm transported by continuous conveying equipment. In transportation sites and equipment selection and design applications, the measurement method of ultimate shear stress test can be used; when conditions permit and in research tests, the measurement method of triaxial shear stress test can be used.
