Scope

These requirements cover electric garment finishing appliances rated 250 V or less for household and commercial use@ in accordance with the National Electrical Code@ NFPA 70. These requirements do not apply to flatirons@ dry-cleaning machines@ laundry equipment@ revolving clothes racks@ or other appliances covered by individual requirements that are separate from this standard.
