- This standard specifies the basic performance characteristics of readers with a magnification ratio not exceeding 50:1 and suitable for black and white microfilm rolls and strip films with a film width not exceeding 35mm. This standard also specifies the basic performance characteristics of readers for image cards suitable for microfilm and envelope films. This standard does not apply to equipment such as reading copiers and pocket readers.
