Scope: This standard stipulates that the use category of the auto-decompression starting control device is AC-3 (used for starting and breaking of cage induction motors during operation). It can neither be used for AC-4 (for starting, inching, reverse connection and reversal of cage induction motors), nor can it be used for frequent on-off working systems or sudden reversal of the motor. This standard specifies the use conditions, categories, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of auto-decompression starting control devices. This standard applies to auto-decompression starting control devices with a frequency of 50Hz (or 60Hz) and a rated voltage of AC 1000V (1140V) and below. The starting device is used to start and accelerate the AC cage induction motor to the rated speed, and to control the motor and It protects the operation of the circuit associated with it, overload, short circuit, and artificially stops the motor. Note: 1140V is limited to underground use in coal mines.
