Scope

This standard applies to composite jacketed gapless metal oxide surge arresters designed to limit overvoltage in AC power systems. This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, etc. for composite jacketed gapless metal oxide arresters (hereinafter referred to as arresters) with a rated voltage of 468kV and below.
