Scope

INTRODUCTION This Item provides a means of estimating the effect on noise measurements@ made at a position above the ground@ due to reflection of the sound wave by the ground. The ground-reflection correction is estimated in the form of a difference spectrum@ which may be subtracted from a measured spectrum to give a free-field spectrum@ or added to a free-field spectrum to give a measured spectrum.
