- This standard (guidance document) specifies the hardness (HBS, HRB, HR E, HRF, HR15T, HR30T, HR45T, HV) and tensile strength (σb) of aluminum alloy plates that can be strengthened by heat treatment. Conversion value between hardness . This standard is applicable to normal aluminum-clad aluminum alloy plates with a thickness of 1.2 to 4.0mm that can be strengthened by heat treatment. They are hard aluminum alloys LY11, LY12, and LY16, and superhard aluminum alloys LC4 and LC9. Aluminum alloy thin plates with a thickness greater than 4.0mm may refer to this standard.
