Scope

This standard specifies the inspection methods for the martensitic microstructure of medium carbon steel and medium carbon alloy structural steel as well as the martensitic metallographic pictures. This standard is applicable to the evaluation of the martensite structure of medium carbon steel and medium carbon alloy structural steel after overall quenching or tempering below 200°C after quenching.
