- Scope
- This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of infrared gas analyzers. This standard applies to non-dispersive infrared gas analyzers that continuously measure one or several components in a mixed gas. This standard applies to complete instruments consisting of optical, mechanical and electrical components. For the purpose of this standard, any regulated power supply provided with the instrument or specified by the manufacturer for use by the instrument is part of the instrument, whether it is installed within the instrument or installed separately. This standard does not apply to sample processing systems or other accessories used in connection with the instrument, such as recorders, analog-to-digital converters, data collection systems, etc.
