- This standard applies to means of displaying personal information on cathode ray tubes and discrete (matrix) screens (displays, video monitors, video modules, video display terminals; hereinafter referred to as displays), which are terminal display devices for information technology and computer technology. The standard establishes ergonomic and safety requirements for displays, including visual ergonomic parameters and display emissions related to harmful and dangerous production factors, the influence of which can lead to deterioration in the health of users.
