- This standard specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods and evaluation rules for digital indicating position controllers. This standard applies to digital indicating controllers for industrial process measurement and control systems with analog input. The light column indicating position controller can also be used as a reference. This standard only applies to instruments used under general working conditions. Additional tests required for instruments used under special working conditions do not fall within the scope of this standard. Some of the tests specified in this standard may not be applicable to some types of instruments, and some types of instruments may require other additional tests. Therefore, applicable tests and required additional tests and their corresponding technical requirements can be selected according to the type of instrument.
