- This standard specifies the general technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules for overcurrent relays. This standard applies to DC (including pulse current) and power frequency AC electromagnetic overcurrent relays (hereinafter referred to as overcurrent relays) used on railway electric locomotives, diesel locomotives, and electric multiple units. This standard does not apply to electronic overcurrent relays.
