- This standard specifies the test working characteristics, definitions, test equipment, test fluids, test preparations, contaminated impurities and impurity oil, test procedures and test reports for the clogging life of diesel locomotive oil filter elements (hereinafter referred to as filter elements). This standard applies to oil filter elements with filter media for various types of domestically produced diesel locomotives.
