- This standard specifies the items, technical requirements and testing methods for image quality control and testing of medical x-ray diagnostic equipment. This standard is applicable to the acceptance testing, in-use status testing and stability testing of medical x-ray diagnostic equipment after new installation and overhaul. It is suitable for general x-ray diagnostic machines. It is not suitable for CT, dental and mammography x-ray machines. Small portable machines can be used as a reference. This standard does not apply to quality control during the production process of x-ray diagnostic equipment.
