- This standard specifies the technical requirements for remote management of asymmetric digital subscriber line (ADSL) client equipment in terms of interfaces, protocols and functions. It is intended to be implemented through the client equipment management module (CPE-MM) under the condition that the ADSL line is activated. The configuration, remote fault diagnosis, maintenance and software upgrade of ADSL client equipment meet the requirements for remote management and on-site maintenance of ADSL client equipment. This standard applies to ADSL central office equipment and user-end equipment in a public telecommunications network environment. For ADSL2/ADSL2+ central office equipment and user-end equipment, this standard can be referred to.
