Scope

This standard specifies the packaging classification, technical requirements, test methods, and inspection rules for general surgical instrument products. This standard is applicable to the packaging of general surgical instrument products. It is not applicable to the packaging of medical disposable surgical instruments that require sterilization and products that are fragile and have special requirements.
