This standard specifies the definition, classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage of glass for railway ground signals and signal indicators (hereinafter referred to as signal glass). This standard applies to various types of glass lenses and flat filters used in railway color light signals, arm signals, crossing signals and signal indicators.
