- This standard applies to the add-drop multiplexing (ADM) equipment of the SDH optical cable transmission system with a rate of 9953 280 kbit/s. Specifies the main technical requirements for STM-64 add-drop multiplexing (ADM) equipment used in my country's public telecommunications networks. Similar equipment in dedicated telecommunications networks may also refer to this standard. Its goal is to achieve horizontal compatibility with single-channel STM-64 systems that use optical preamplifiers and/or optical power amplifiers, including intra-office and short-distance single-channel STM-64 systems that do not use optical amplifiers.
