Scope
This standard specifies symbols used to represent elements on ship arrangement plans. This standard applies to the representation of component symbols in ship arrangement drawings. The symbols in this standard are drawn at a scale of 1:100. If the layout drawing is drawn according to the ratio of 1:50 or 1:200, each symbol should be enlarged or reduced according to the corresponding proportion. All symbols shall be drawn to the size and proportion of the equipment they represent. The basic symbols specified in 2-1, 3.1 and 4.1 shall be used in combination with other symbols. See the respective symbol tables for combination examples. Various special equipment and machines not mentioned in this standard can be represented by symbols similar to their actual shapes, and the numbers can be noted on the legends to distinguish them. The symbols specified in the table are classified as follows: a) Bulkheads (walls) and bulkhead holes; b) Cabin furniture; c) Sanitary equipment; d) Galley and laundry room; e) Repair room; f) Navigation equipment, etc.; g ) Deck equipment; h) Ladders, bulwarks, etc.; i) Hatchways and hatch covers.
