- Scope
- This standard specifies the product classification, model, structure, composition, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and packaging, marking, transportation, storage and other requirements of optical cable splice boxes. This standard is applicable to optical cable connector boxes installed and used in communication optical cable lines such as overhead, pipeline (tunnel), direct burial and other laying methods. Unless otherwise specified in product standards, the optical cable splice boxes used in the above occasions shall comply with the provisions of this standard. This standard does not apply to submarine, overhead ground wire composite optical cable (OPGW) and emergency optical cable connector boxes.
