- This standard specifies the use of automatic vapor pressure instruments to measure the total vapor pressure of petroleum products. This standard is applicable to test specimens with a boiling point above 0℃ (32℉), a test temperature of 37.8℃ (100℉), a gas-to-liquid ratio of 4:1, and a vapor pressure ranging from 7 to 110kPa (1.0 to 16 psi). . This standard can be used for oxygenated gasoline; dissolved water in the sample is not considered.
