- Scope
- This standard applies to the fire resistance type test requirements of valves to confirm the pressure resistance of the valve during and after the fire resistance test. This standard's test requirements for valve actuators are limited to manually operated gearboxes or other similar mechanisms that make up general valve parts. Other valve actuator types (such as electric, pneumatic or hydraulic) may require special protection in the test environment specified in this standard.
