Scope

This standard applies to the general technical requirements for electronic clamps and pliers (hereinafter referred to as hand pliers) used for clamping and cutting wires, etc., including electronic parts and printed circuit boards. The hand pliers specified in this standard are not suitable for use in energized circuits or in workplaces with static electricity.
