- Scope
- This standard specifies the method for determining the moisture content of a batch of iron ore. This method is applicable to all iron ores including natural iron ore or processed iron ore (for example: iron concentrate and agglomerates of nodules, sinter, briquettes, etc.). However, for certain types of limonite, ores containing sulfide and a large amount of bound water, etc., when moisture content is measured under the conditions specified in this standard, erroneous results may sometimes be produced.
