Scope

This standard specifies the integrity of the seal between the interfaces of fiber optic devices (such as connectors). This test can be used as an item in a series of test plans, or a test that should be done after the sample is at low temperature or at low temperature. An air pressure difference should be established before and after the interface where the device is installed, and an instrument should be used on the low-pressure side to measure the degree of air leakage at the seal.
