- Scope
- This standard specifies test methods for determining the relative resistance of commercial glass containers to thermal shock. It can also be applied to any glass container in situations where temperature changes (thermal shock), such as washing, sterilization, hot packaging, etc., or where it needs to be cooled down. Medium moves into hot medium and vice versa. Note: Glass bottles that have passed the thermal shock test cannot be used as samples for the pressure test.
