- This standard specifies the test method for the split tensile strength of concrete cylindrical specimens (such as molded cylinders and drilled cores). Note 1: The method for molding concrete cylindrical specimens is in accordance with CNS 1230 Concrete Compression and Bending Test Specimen Casting and Moist Curing Methods in the Laboratory, and CNS 1231 Preparation and Curing Method of Concrete Test Specimens at Construction Sites. The method for drilling specimens is in accordance with CNS 1241 Concrete Core Drilling
