Scope

This standard applies to AC circuit breakers used in AC circuits with voltages above 3.3 KV and frequencies of 50Hz or 60Hz. [Note] The circuit breakers applicable to this standard are AC circuit breakers that are structurally capable of continuing to be turned on and operated repeatedly after breaking the fault current.
