Scope

This standard applies to rectified DC arc welding machines (hereinafter referred to as welding machines) with stable current characteristics, which are mainly composed of transformers, rectifiers and current regulating devices, connected to a 50Hz or 60Hz single-phase or three-phase AC power supply. However, internally installed control devices and attached high-frequency generators are not within the scope of this standard.
