- This standard applies to insulating carbon film fixed resistors (hereinafter referred to as resistors) used in electronic and telecommunications equipment, electrical measuring instruments and other electronic application equipment. Note: The resistor uses a carbon film tightly adhered to the surface as the resistor body, with appropriate terminals on it, and an insulating package on its surface.
