Scope

This standard specifies a test target used to evaluate the stability of the imaging quality of low-resolution reflection scanning systems over time. This standard applies to the evaluation of the output quality of black and white and color scanners for scanning black and white or color documents (with or without halftones). This standard does not apply to scanners that scan transmissive or semi-transmissive documents.
