Scope

This standard specifies the tensile strength test method for paper and cardboard after they are wetted with water (1). Note (1): This method can also be applied to liquids other than water as wetting agents. When using other liquids, the tensile strength after being wet (for a certain period of time) in "a certain liquid" should be noted in the report.
