- Scope
- This standard stipulates the determination of (1) (2) bromine-reactive substances in petroleum hydrocarbons (usually very trace amounts of unsaturated hydrocarbons) by guided differential titration, usually with bromine indexes below 1000 (3). This determination method is only applicable to petroleum hydrocarbons whose distillation endpoint is below 288°C (essentially not containing olefinic substances, or substances lighter than isobutane). Note: 1. Bromine index of substances with bromine index greater than 1000
