Scope
This standard specifies the determination of the iron content of industrial maleic anhydride using the 2,2′-dipyridine photometer method. This method must first refer to CNS 6210 Industrial Maleic Anhydride Test Method (General Principles). Note: 1. Maleic anhydride is toxic, so try to avoid touching the skin or inhaling it during operation. 2. If heated together with trace amounts of caustic substances, other alkalis, alkaline substances and organic bases, dangerous decomposition will occur.
