- This standard is applicable to places where coal dust and mixed dust in coal mines are at risk of explosion or propagation of explosions. To measure the rate of rock powder in accumulated mixed dust, a portable telescope with a polarizing device (hereinafter referred to as the telescope) is used. . Note: Rock powder rate refers to the ratio of rock dust contained in aggregated mixed dust. Rock dust is the ash contained in rock powder spread for explosion-proof and naturally mixed rock dust and coal dust.
