Scope
This standard applies to welded steel pipe piles (hereinafter referred to as piles) used in the foundations of civil engineering and building structures. Note: This standard covers piles to prevent ground sliding. Reference: The relevant standards for seamless steel pipes and centrifugally cast steel pipes used to prevent ground sliding are CNS 4435 [Carbon Steel Pipes for General Structures] and CNS 10744 [Centrifugal Cast Steel Pipes for Welded Structures].
