- This standard specifies a method for the determination of total beta particle radioactivity in environmental water samples (such as non-process discharge water samples). For most counting systems, this method can be applied to beta emitters with maximum energy greater than 0.1 MeV and radioactive homogeneous water samples with activity concentrations greater than 0.02 Bq/mL. This method does not apply if the radioactive elements contained in the analysis specifications are volatile under the analysis conditions. 1.2 This Law
