- 1.1 This standard specifies a method for measuring the neutron flux rate using the activation reaction of 58Ni(n,p)58Co. 1.2 The lower limit energy of this activation reaction is about 2.1MeV. This reaction can be used to determine the fast neutron flux rate with an emission time of about 200 days when the thermal neutron flux rate is low. 1.3 Using appropriate technology, it can measure up to 107cm-2. Splitting neutron flux rate of S-1.
