Scope

This standard specifies the general method for determination of optical rotation of chemicals in solution or liquid state. Notes 1.: Chemical products refer to all substances generated by chemical reactions. However, if the standards for individual products or product groups have provisions for measurement methods that are different from the standards, the methods specified in the standards shall apply. 2.: The methods specified in this standard are general methods and are only applicable to those whose safety can be fully confirmed in advance.
