Scope

1.1 This standard provides a method for determining an unknown thermal neutron flux rate using neutron activation technology. It is not feasible to fully describe a set of techniques suitable for experimental measurement of thermal neutron flux rates. Therefore, this standard is proposed to provide users with the following basic steps in selecting the appropriate technology for their own particular situation. 1.1.1 Utilize the stunning measurement technology of cobalt, pure gold, cobalt-aluminum alloy or gold-aluminum alloy.
