- This document establishes the terms and definitions, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, instructions for use, packaging, transportation and storage, and quality commitments of range hoods. This document applies to external exhaust range hoods used in domestic kitchen environments. This document does not apply to: ——Range hoods installed for industrial and commercial purposes; ——Range hoods installed in special situations, such as where corrosive or explosive gases (dust, steam or gas) are present.
