- Scope
- This standard specifies the determination of the solubility of asphalt and emulsified asphalt in trichlorethylene when the residue after the distillation test does not contain minerals. Note: Due to safety concerns, the methods using carbon disulfide, carbon tetrachloride and benzene are abolished in this standard. This standard does not apply to tar and its distillation residues or highly cracked petroleum products, which are processed using other solvent methods.
