Scope

This standard specifies the ability of optical fiber connectors to resist quality degradation caused by corrosion by special liquids. During use, exposure to this fluid may occur. The so-called reduction in quality is any sufficient basis for the performance of the connector to fall below the minimum acceptability criteria specified in the test during testing.
