- This standard stipulates the inspection timing, inspection equipment, calibration methods, and inspection procedures for manual inspection using a pulse wave reflection ultrasonic detector for butt-jointed full-penetration welds with a thickness of 6 mm or more and meeting any of the following conditions: Shows the minimum requirements for evaluation, grading, acceptance criteria, etc. Weld bead inspection for special purposes may be specified in accordance with other relevant standards, but shall not be lower than this standard.
